2nd Annual RMEE Banquet

2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Energy Economics Banquet

Jacquelyn Pless, Matthew Doyle, Guy Caruso, and Braeton Smith at the 2nd Annual RMEE Banquet

The 2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Energy Economics (RMEE) Banquet will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 6:00pm-8:30pm in the Centennial Room at the Denver Athletic Club (DAC) in Downtown Denver (located at the corner of Glenarm and 14th St.). Doors will open at 5:30pm with a networking reception/cocktail hour from 6:00pm-7:00pm, dinner at 7:00pm, and speaker beginning around 7:30pm.

The initiation of the CSM-USAEE was partially motivated by the desire to help bridge the gap between academia and industry in the local energy community. This annual event is a unique opportunity to meet, network, and exchange ideas with local industry in a comfortable environment, including a cocktail hour, dinner, and guest speaker.

This year’s banquet will feature guest speaker Guy Caruso, former administrator of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Caruso is currently a senior adviser in the Energy and National Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He has acquired over 40 years of energy experience, with particular emphasis on topics related to energy markets, policy, and security during his tenure at the EIA, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of International Affairs and Office of Market Analysis, the Central Intelligence Agency’s Office of Economic Research, and as head of the International Energy Agency’s Oil Industry Division.

Last year’s RMEE banquet was a huge success, and we look forward to an even more impressive year for student, faculty, and industry engagement.

Please note that the DAC is offering a free month of membership for all attendees.

The 2nd Annual RMEE Banquet has passed. The 3rd Annual RMEE will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Register HERE.
