About

Initiated in April 2014, the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) Chapter of the United States Association for Energy Economics (USAEE) is a forum for the exchange of ideas and information for those interested in the field of energy economics and for the furtherance of the professional development of its members. The chapter seeks to engage students and faculty of local academic institutions with members of the energy community in the Front Range and with the national association itself.

Although the CSM-USAEE is headquartered at CSM and is run by CSM students, membership is open to anyone in the local community with an interest in energy economics. We try to hold three events per semester. These include a speaker/networking event, an energy industry-related field trip, and a meeting with a networking happy hour to kick off each semester.

Our most important event of the year is the annual Rocky Mountain Energy Economics (RMEE) Banquet held each fall, where we invite a distinguished lecturer to speak to a group of students, academics, and members of the local energy industry.

The CSM-USAEE is no longer active.
